Roman ruins ... Gigondas wines ... chocolates ... circular villages ... artisans ... hiking ... Châteauneuf-du-Pape  wines .... biking ... churches ... did I mention WINE?   This area, with its rolling vineyards, lacy cliffs and circular villages, just captures my heart every time.  There are no large cities, but simply the countryside , dotted with small villages with so much to offer if you take the time to explore what is behind the inviting arches.
