Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING POLICY

Please note that most of our products will be sent directly to your home from the company or artisan in France. (There are a few companies who do have distribution centers in the US, and those should arrive more quickly).  We do our best to provide the fastest service at the best price.  Most items will take 2-3 weeks to arrive, so your patience is appreciated.   Again, we hope that 3 weeks is the longest it will take, and some items may arrive within a week.  If you have not received tracking information or your item has not arrived within 3 weeks, feel free to contact us.  Our French companies have the choice to use whichever delivery service (Poste, UPS, DHL, FedEX) they choose, and French Detours will NOT have the tracking information provided to you by the company.   We hope that you feel the opportunity to buy unique, artisanal specialties without taking up room in your suitcase is worth the wait!

Return & Exchange Policy

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we want you to love your French products!  Returns and Exchanges do take time, and with international shipping, can be expensive.  Before returning any items, we ask that you CONTACT US  within 10 days of receipt of the item so we can facilitate the return/exchange with the French company.     If you simply return the item to the French company, French Detours cannot help with the processing of your return/exchange.

If the product is defective, French Detours and/or the French Company will assume the cost of return shipping as well as the shipping of the new product.  If the product is not defective and you simply want to return or exchange, you will need to assume the cost of the return shipping and shipping of a new product, if any.  The companies and artisans we work with are small businesses, so we ask that you make your choices carefully before purchasing to avoid returning unwanted items.  Thank you for your understanding.
